I took some time off and re-calibrated my own compass. The hustle, bustle and grind of work can wear you down and allow “interference” to disrupt your compass. The internal compass, to me, is your own set of core values that you follow personally and professionally and allows you to maintain a straight course in the event of storms or chaos.
What are the deviations or interference that cause you to get off track? Compromising on a deal just to win it. Making concessions just to close a sale? Allowing your service level to slip that impacts customers in a negative way? No longer believing in your product or service?
In order to re-set, you need to re-commit to your core values and beliefs. In this episode, I discuss mine in relationship to how business should operate.
